Officially Licensed by Leicester City FC

Some football seasons deserve more than a place in the record books.

Leicester City’s 2015/16 Premier League title was one of those rare moments when sport broke out of its own boundaries. It became a city’s story, a family story, a pub story, a story told by people who still remember exactly where they were when belief stopped feeling ridiculous.

This officially licensed LCFC x TBF artwork was created to preserve that feeling with the care it deserves. Not as a poster. Not as a souvenir. As a piece of commemorative artwork for the season Claudio Ranieri, Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kanté, Kasper Schmeichel and the rest of that unforgettable squad made football feel wonderfully unpredictable again.

For supporters, it is a way to keep the miracle season close — on the wall, in the home, and in the conversations it still starts.

The Story

Nobody expected it to last.

That was part of the beauty of it. Every week, Leicester City won another game, climbed another rung, answered another question, and still the wider football world waited for the fall. Claudio Ranieri’s side were supposed to fade. They were supposed to be found out. They were supposed to enjoy the run, take the applause, and step aside for the usual names.

They never did.

At King Power Stadium, the feeling grew in stages. Jamie Vardy was running beyond defenders as if every loose ball belonged to him. Riyad Mahrez was turning full-backs inside out with that left foot. N’Golo Kanté seemed to cover every blade of grass twice. Danny Drinkwater set the tempo. Marc Albrighton gave everything. Shinji Okazaki made the awkward work look heroic. Christian Fuchs, Danny Simpson, Robert Huth and Wes Morgan formed the kind of back line supporters still talk about with pride. Behind them, Kasper Schmeichel gave the whole thing authority.

Then came the moments that made people believe.

Vardy’s scoring run became a national countdown, and when he broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Premier League record against Manchester United, the season gained another layer of disbelief. His long-range strike against Liverpool at the King Power felt like pure instinct and pure confidence — the sound of a team playing without fear.

But 6 February 2016 at the Etihad was different. That was the day many people stopped laughing. Manchester City were expected to impose themselves. Instead, Leicester were ruthless. Huth rose, Mahrez danced through, Huth rose again, and suddenly the table looked less like a novelty and more like a warning.

Even then, it still needed nerve.

The 1–0 win over Norwich was the kind of match title-winning seasons often turn on. Tight, anxious, drifting away — until Leonardo Ulloa arrived late and the King Power erupted so fiercely it became known as the earthquake goal. That was Leicester in miniature: not polished, not entitled, but together, relentless, and impossible to shake off.

The title itself arrived in the strangest, most Leicester way: not with the players on the pitch, but gathered together as Chelsea came back to draw 2–2 with Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard’s equaliser confirmed what still barely sounded believable. Leicester City were champions of England.

And then came 7 May.

Everton at home. Blue skies. The King Power full of people who had lived every week of it. Andrea Bocelli beside Ranieri, singing Nessun Dorma before kick-off. Vardy scoring twice. Andy King adding another. Wes Morgan lifting the Premier League trophy into the Leicester air.

That is why this season still matters.

Not just because Leicester won the league. Because for one unforgettable year, every supporter was reminded that football can still surprise you, still move you, still make grown people cry in the stands, in living rooms, in pubs, and on streets across the city.
